I have a two-year-old.
Do I need to say more?
Though he's as cute as can be, if you look closely you can see the tiny pair of horns that are holding up his halo.
When I started Moose Threads, he was just over 1. I would work on items after his bedtime. I would use my knitting circle time as me time - otherwise known as caramel nonfat mocha and girl talk time. All was right with the world and I was happy.
Now, however, it's a different story.
No matter how hard we try there is no bedtime. Bedtime is when he stops screaming, ,kicking and escaping from his room. Naptimes are a thing of the past - apparently I didn't know they were now considered uncool amid the two-year-old social scene.
My once highly organized, color-coded yarn collection has now become the Death Star with David as Luke Skywalker.
Every chance he gets he's attempting to seek and destroy. Toss in our two tortie cats to act as Yoda and Hans Solo and you have one heck of a battle.
Here are a few pictures of what my workspace ...aka.... house/office have looked like in recent weeks as a result of David's sneak attacks.

haha.. that is hilarious! So funny! You should see my house, its looks just the same! When our little ones grow up a bit, we can get back to organizing and such but for right now, we just need to try to survive! :) Keep posting and let us see them in the forums! They are great! :)
Having kids means you get to say cool things like, "Hey, don't eat the remote!"
reverse his door knob so the lock is on the outside! It works - hate to say it, but it does. Also at that age you can put one of the plastic door knob covers on the door knob inside the room! Yes I've done both- please don't send child services after us a mom has to do what a mom has to do!
Oh the joy of motherhood! It really can be the best birth control to see a terrible two! But it doesn't last forever right? They get into other things and become more curious :)
They say that age 2-3 and age 15-16 are the ages of greatest resistance for children against their parents but ALSO the ages where your influence is the greatest on them. Just hang in there and remember that in the long run you are shaping a sweet little boy!
One of my favorite saying is "The first 40 years of parenting is always the hardest!" Gotta love it!
